O Lord, to you we entrust the cause of life:
look, Father vast numbers of babies
who be born,
of the poor whose lives are made difficult,
of men and women who are victims of brutal violence,
elderly and sick killed
because of indifference or out of misguided piety.
Make
who believe in your Son may proclaim with firmness and love
men of our time the Gospel of life.
Obtain for them the grace to accept as a gift ever new,
the joy of celebrating it with gratitude throughout their existence
and courage to bear witness to it resolutely,
to build, together with all men goodwill
the civilization of truth and love,
to the praise and glory of your name.
